Underlying Theoretical and Methodological Strategy in the Report on the State of Argentinean Working Classes

Abstract
It is not usual to approach this Report, made by Juan Bialet Massé, in 1904 from a theoretical and methodological perspective. The purpose is to fill that void and to communicate author's commitment to this work, which still today amazes social researchers in Labor Studies. Core question is "Which is the theoretical and methodological strategy underlying on the Report?" It will be emphasized the methodological aspect by highlighting the advanced use of mixed methods and the integration of both research styles. From the theoretical point of view, it will be stressed the interdisciplinary approach to the study of blue-collar work by underlining the similarities with French ergonomic intervention
